Love Story (Part 6)

The HR Manager gently touched Rohit's arm and said, the candidate is waiting. Rohit's thought was broken and he cam back to reality. He asked for the CV. Glancing at her CV Rohit waled towards his office. She had been a model, a TV anchor and then changed careers to finance and had been doing well for herself. Rohit was asking himself why would she want to join this company. They could not offer her any of the benefits she got from the fortune 500 company she was working for. He entered his office where his junior was taking her through the role.
He looked at her and got a strange feeling. He ignored the feeling and went to sit at his desk. The interview continued but he could not concentrate on it. There was something about her, Jasmine Kapoor. She was amazingly attractive and undeniably beautiful. But there was something more. It was as if he knew her from before. He started asking his questions to judge her effectiveness. Instantly there was a clear fit with the role and she was a likable person. He decided it would be her. The interview got over an Rohit got busy with his work. He recommended a couple of candidates for a 2nd interview.
Couple of weeks passed the HR manager reminded him he needed to make a decision. He asked the HR manager to set up a coffee meeting with Jasmine. On the day she was dressed in a business suit and looking good. They talked about a lot of things on the work front and gave her the lowdown on her role and challenges. She was up for it. She would join in a month and a half.
Rohit went on a couple of trips and forgotten about Jasmine.
Back in the office he was reminded of Jasmine and decided he wanted to see her. He asked the HR manager to set up team outing and invited the new finance manager. Again meeting her he was reminded of the thought that he knew her from before. He could not tell why it was so.
He wanted to keep talking to her. They stayed back while the rest of the team left. The feeling got stronger. They parted and Rohit was back on the road. And the day arrived when she started work. Other people also joined with her and all were supposed to go to the head quarters for training. Rohit was supposed to train them for 2 days and welcome them to the company. They flew out to Delhi to the HQ.
